Oaked & Ember Straight Bourbon Whiskey is as American as you can get. Made from heirloom corn, mesquite smoked malted barley (24%), and cherry wood smoked malted barley (24%) then twice distilled on our copper pot still. On the final run, we cut deeper than normal into the tails to bring out more of the smoky characteristics from the grain. Aged for 4 years in new charred oak barrels,Oaked & Ember has notes of burnt caramel, mesquite, with a warming cherry wood finish. This single barrel was selected by Deerhammer founder, Lenny Eckstein, to be sold <em>only</em> online in an effort to offer up his absolute favorite barrels to whiskey enthusiasts across the country. This online-only single barrel took a 5 1/2 year journey through three unique casks before arriving at one of the most alluring whiskey flavor profiles we've ever bottled up. Initially laid down at a barrel entry proof of 105 into heavy toast / char #2 new oak for 4 years before being diverted for an additional year into an ex-apple brandy barrel, and then an ex-rum barrel.

Afterglow Ginger Whiskey was inspired by Industrial mogul Henry Clay Frick’s love child background. Frick was the product of an 1840s tryst between a wealthy whiskey baron’s daughter and a poor red-headed distillery worker. Their love affair on the grounds of the Overholt Distillery, south of Pittsburgh, produced one of the country’s fiercest industrialists. Their unconventional love story is the inspiration behind our own spicy lovechild: Afterglow Ginger Whiskey. To make Afterglow, we lightly roast local ginger, grown for us by Chatham University at their Eden Hall Farm Campus. We then steep this freshly roasted whole ginger in our made-from-scratch Straight Bourbon Whiskey and then mix in a small amount of brown sugar. The resulting spirit is a whiskey with a well-rounded sweet and spicy ginger character.

Inspired by a 19th century Pennsylvanian distiller’s recipe, Wigle’s Dutch-Style Gin brings back a lost gem of distillation. For the first 600 years of its existence, gin was made from a whiskey base in a copper pot still. This Genever or Dutch-style Gin became less popular after the invention of the modern industrial still. Vodka based gins dominate liquor store shelves today. With a grain mash of rye, wheat, malted barley, and a complex family of botanicals, Ginever is rounder and fuller than modern gins. Juniper berries remain forefront but are joined by a number of other botanicals including: earthy cardamom, peppery cubeb and fragrant lavender. Wigle Limoncello is a truly a Wigle take on the classic liqueur. For every batch we produce, Wigle employees and dedicated volunteers hand peel lemons which are then steeped in our made-from-scratch spirits with just the right amount of sugar for sweetness. The mixture is then filtered resulting in a well balanced and beautifully yellow liqueur. Limoncello has some fun origin myths from Almalfi Coast fisherman sipping lemon liqueur to ward off the cold, an Isle of Capri innkeeper whose lemon drink spread far and wide, to monks enjoying sips of lemon liqueur in-between prayers. Regardless of contested origins of Limoncello, it has become an iconic spirit that is found across the Italian peninsula.
